This year’s convention will focus on several major aspects of Peoplesoft’s 9.2 release. The Convention has a series of seminars that will speak to many different aspects of Peoplesoft 9.2. They will highlight the new additions to Peoplesoft and explore their value to customers. User group and SIG sessions will be held on Sunday September 28, 2014. General and conference sessions are set to begin on Monday, September 29 2014. In between sessions, don’t forget to stop in and see the exhibits. Be sure to try out the demos before you leave. What is new about 9.2 that would make you consider upgrading? Oracle says that since every business is now striving to do more with less, its mission is to offer simplicity, productivity, and lowered TCO. This upgrade strives for efficiency, quickness, and self-service to raise productivity and lower your company cost. So many (but not all) of the new additions highlight the needs of the user. With that focus in mind, Peoplesoft 9.2 offers a new and easier to use interface that allows the user to learn to use the programs more quickly. Much more help is available within the program to make it easier to do it yourself. There are also new dashboards and workcenters. Other additions include global search capabilities, enhanced analytics, new paycheck modeling, easier access across programs like HCM, ELM, and HR, and a new focus on Employee Life Changes for Human Resource needs. One very important new feature that needs to be mentioned is the new mobile capabilities of the programs. These applications will allow the usage of multiple types of equipment from smartphones to tablets to mini-computers of all kinds. Remember the dates and attend Oracle’s Open World’s Conference Week this year. You can always contact us to get help with your PeopleSoft Production Support when you upgrade to 9.2 so that your staff can focus on the upgrade.
