Noting that healthcare wages were struggling to keep up with Walmart wages for lower level positions, an article from Fortune notes rising wages across other industries are further pushing the wage demands for positions throughout facilities and across departments. This staffing shortage and high turnover then contributes to longer wait times and reduced quality of care.
