Healthcare Facilities are Facing OSHA Fines Related to COVID-19

OSHA recently announced $471,337 in safety violation fines related to the COVID-19 pandemic, with healthcare facilities accounting for 30 of the 32 cited workplaces. This continues a trend of healthcare facility citations, particularly within nursing and residential care facilities. While these fines may hurt such facilities financially, the standards are in place to protect workers, and many of the complaints are being filed by healthcare worker unions.
